General

Nine areas: corporate and commercial law, business registration and compliance, taxation and GST advisory, civil litigation and arbitration, criminal defence, family and matrimonial law, property and real estate, intellectual property, and labour and employment law. Each has its own page setting out what the work involves.

Yes. Criminal defence, family and matrimonial matters, property disputes, and succession work are largely individual clients. Corporate, compliance, employment, and intellectual property work is largely for businesses. Many clients come to us for one and stay for the other.

The chamber is based in Jamshedpur. We appear before the Jharkhand High Court, district and sessions courts across the state, family courts, consumer forums, labour courts, and tribunals including the NCLT, RERA authority, and GST appellate authority.

For advisory, drafting, and compliance work, location makes little difference and we act for clients anywhere in India. For litigation, it depends on the forum — tell us where the matter is filed and we will say plainly whether we can appear ourselves or would arrange local counsel.

Consultation

Send a consultation request through the contact form, call the chamber, or message us on WhatsApp. Give us a short outline of the matter so the right person reviews it before you come in.

Whatever documents you already have — agreements, notices, FIR copies, summons, property papers, correspondence. Even an incomplete set helps. If you are unsure what is relevant, bring it anyway and we will sort through it.

Yes. Anything you tell us in a consultation is confidential, whether or not you go on to engage the firm. That applies from the first conversation, not from the moment you sign anything.

You get a clear view of your position and the realistic options, and a written note of the proposed scope and fee estimate if you want to proceed. There is no obligation to engage us after a consultation.

Fees & Billing

It depends on the work. Drafting, registrations, and compliance filings are usually a fixed fee. Litigation is typically staged — a fee for the pleadings, then per appearance or per stage. Whichever applies, you get it in writing before we begin.

Yes. A written estimate of scope and fees goes to you before any work begins. If the matter later expands beyond that scope, we tell you and agree the change before doing the extra work — not afterwards on the invoice.

No. Court fees, stamp duty, registration charges, and similar statutory payments are separate from professional fees and are payable at actuals. The estimate sets out which of these to expect so nothing arrives as a surprise.

Yes. Invoices for work billed through your client account are available to download from the portal, so you have them for your own records and accounting.

Confidentiality & Documents

Uploaded documents are held in private storage outside the public web folder and are reachable only through an authenticated, permission-checked download route. Files are stored under system-generated names so they cannot be guessed at from a URL.

No. Every file is tied to one client account, and the portal scopes every query to the client who is logged in. One client cannot see, list, or reach another client's documents.

Access is controlled by role. Advocates working on your matter can see it; staff whose work does not touch client documents — content or reception roles, for instance — do not have that access at all.

Documents and images — PDF, DOC, DOCX, JPG, and PNG. Executable and script files are rejected. There is a size limit on each upload; if you have something larger, such as a long scanned bundle, tell us and we will arrange it.

Client Portal

It replaces sending case papers over WhatsApp and email. You upload documents into the right category, download drafts and filed copies the firm shares with you, and see the current status and next date of each of your matters.

You can register from the website, or the firm can create the account for you. Either way the account is activated only after the firm has verified who you are — no one gets portal access automatically on signing up.

That is the point of it. The current status and next date of each matter are visible in your dashboard, updated by the firm as the matter moves, along with any notices posted to your account.

A mobile app is in development and will do everything the portal does. Until it is released, the website works on a phone and gives you the same access.

Working With Us

Yes. The advocate you brief is the one who handles your matter. You should not have to re-explain your case to someone new at every stage.

Yes, and early. Where a matter is unlikely to succeed, or where a negotiated settlement would serve you better than years of litigation, we say so at the outset rather than after you have spent money finding out.

No, and you should be cautious of anyone who does. No advocate can guarantee how a court will decide. What we can tell you is how strong your position looks, what the realistic range of outcomes is, and what we will do to put your case properly.

Urgent matters — bail, anticipatory bail, an interim injunction, a notice with a short deadline — are prioritised. Call the chamber directly rather than using the contact form so it reaches someone straight away.
